Friends,

When it comes to parents, I won the lottery (get ready for that same phrase again on Father’s Day — thank you, The Last Lecture).

So of course, it’s a joy to celebrate my mom today.

I can say the same again and again about my wife — now a mom of two by the grace of God. The same goes for my mother-in-law and my Mimi. In many ways, each of these women has inspired my love of travel (alongside my adventurous aunt, who first took me to London in 2006). They’ve all, in one way or another, either put me on or gone with me on many airplanes.

My words don’t fully capture my heart for them. And that, in its own way, is a gift.

Thank you for letting me share a bit about them here. Travel has a way of drawing out what’s most true — and connecting us deeply.

I hope your travels in the months ahead are full and exciting. And however this Mother’s Day met you, I hope it held real joy.

You are loved by God.
